When I first got my new hybrid, the tire pressure was set at a low 41 psi, causing noticeable road noise, which I'd rate as a solid 6.5 out of 10. After inflating the tires to the correct pressure of 44 psi, the noise level dropped dramatically to a much quieter 3.7.

That's interesting! I honestly can’t remember ever getting a new ride with the tire pressure actually set right off the lot. Anyway, what kinda wheels and tires you rocking on your truck?

When I got my new hybrid, I noticed a lot of road noise, probably around a 6.5 out of 10, due to the tire pressure being set at 41 psi. After I inflated the tires to the correct 44 psi, the difference was incredible. The noise level dropped significantly, probably to about a 3.7, much quieter and way more comfortable...

I’ve kept mine at 44 PSI, too, and it really does quiet things down. Out of curiosity, did you notice any impact on range or performance? I’ve been tempted to experiment with slightly lower pressures for smoother rides, but road noise might make me think twice.

You should try out different tire psi to see what feels best for you. You don't always have to go by manufacturer's recommended psi.

Even a small PSI change really matters on a heavy vehicle like the Hummer EV. 41 PSI was definitely too low so the 6.5 noise level makes sense. I agree with @Eric the correct is 44 psi. It shows how much tire pressure affects the ride. correct tire pressure helps with range and tire life so it's a good thing all around. Always check your tire pressure especially when you get a new car!

Yeah, I’ve found that tire pressure plays a huge role in how a car handles, too. I’ve tried both slightly lower and higher pressures, and while lower feels softer, higher PSI definitely gives a smoother, quieter ride. it's all about balancing comfort with tire life and performance.
