Hello drivers! I wanted to know more about the NACS connector transition and it seems that GM will roll out the NACS connector on new EV models starting with the beginning of the new year. I am pretty enthusiastic that we will have the possibility to charge at Tesla's Supercharger stations without an adapter. Thought, there is a 'not-so-good-news' part, too. The 2024 models (including the limited Omega Edition trim) will keep the original connector. The full transition to NACS will happen once the 2025 models hit the market.

GM’s NACS rollout begins in 2025 models, allowing direct access to Tesla Superchargers, but unfortunately, 2024 models, including Omega Edition, will still need adapters. 🤷‍♂️

So to get this right, non Tesla vehicles pay premium to use Tesla DC chargers and now our native charger will be NACS or Tesla so to operate a GM, Ford or Hyundai EV it will cost you a premium to charge compared to a Tesla? So best buy a CCS adapter and save a bit of money.

Used my adapter on a 250kw Supercharger on Saturday paid 88 cents Cdn a KW ouch, normal CCS 350KW chargers here are only 60 cents a KW won't be doing that much and dont' think I'll be buying a non Tesla EV with NACS until the adapter is available.

Yeah, I was hoping GM would at least offer an adapter program for 2024 models. But ok.
