I just wanted to share how glad I am to be part of the Hummer community again! I’ve always driven GM vehicles, including Hummers, but when it came time to decide on my next ride, I was torn between the Hummer EV and the Cybertruck. I had reservations for both, and when my number came up for the Cybertruck, I had to make a decision.
In the end, I canceled my Cybertruck reservation, even though I lost my deposit, and went for a ‘24 2x SUT on a two-year lease. Honestly, no regrets. While Tesla has its appeal, I found the lack of lease options and discounts frustrating, especially considering how long ago I placed my deposit (back in 2019!). Plus, after spending time in forums for both vehicles, I realized just how much I appreciate the Hummer community. The conversations here are so much more civil and helpful compared to what I experienced in Tesla groups. The “fanboy” reputation is real!
I’m loving my new Hummer so far, but like many of you, I do wish we had more frequent software updates and a wider range of accessories or aftermarket options. Still, it feels great to be back with the Hummer family. Before this, I had a 2022 GMC 2500 Denali diesel that I absolutely loved, but I haven’t looked back since making the switch.
