Hey all, I know this is a hummer EV forum, but every day, I see posts from new owners dealing with frustrating issues right after delivery. I mean sure, all vehicles have quirks, but no thanks, I’ll pass on the early headaches, luckily I don’t need my future SUV anytime soon; it’s more of a want than a necessity. My high reservation number means I wouldn’t get it until MY25 anyway. So, I’ll wait until MY26, or maybe even move on to something else by then, like that Corvette SUV everyone’s buzzing about..what do y'all think?

I have owe ed 12 new vehicles in the past 13 years and I have to say they all have little niggles but they get worked out. Vehicles are far more complex than they were 10 years back and it has to be expected. How many glitches do our phone have lol.
I think the reasons some manufacturers don’t have little issues, like Lexius is because they use old technology. Hell some of their latest Toyota trucks still come with drum brakes!

Makes sense to wait! Early adopters often deal with issues that get resolved in later models. MY26 gives GMC plenty of time to refine the Hummer EV, but the Corvette SUV could be a serious competitor. Just keep in mind that being new to the SUV market, the Corvette might have its own first-gen quirks. Either way, you’ve got time to see how both options evolve.

It's worrying to see so many new Hummer EV owners with problems right away. All cars have issues, but these seem like a lot for a new, expensive vehicle. Waiting for the 2026 model is a good idea. Hopefully, they'll fix the problems by then. Plus, there might be other cool EVs out by then, like that Corvette SUV. Since you're not in a hurry, you have time to see how the Hummer EV does and check out other options. It's a big choice, so taking your time is smart. I'm excited to see what you choose!
