My Dad’s long wait for his Hummer EV

My dad sold his Hellcat, thinking his Hummer EV would arrive soon, clearly, that hasn’t gone as planned. He loved the Hummer he had years ago and was excited for its return, but his dealer was slow to order it. Now he’s been told it’s built and just sitting in an overcrowded lot. Does anyone know how long delivery usually takes after the build?

I bought a demo because my Hummer wouldn’t arrive for another 1.5 to 2 years. A good rule of thumb is to assume it doesn’t exist until it’s at the dealership. Some are still waiting on trucks built 18 months ago due to battery issues.

Up here we had loads of Trucks and SUVs GM took a lot off of the price and dealers took a bath to move them. Seems strange why the wait times are still ongoing in the States.
